Follow up on Barts Orthopaedic Surgeon - David Goodier

I got a lot of stick for blogging in December 2011 on the resignation of Mr David Goodier from Barts.  Peter Morris - the Chief Exec of our Monster Trust - tried to find me, and warned all staff on the use of the internet. I quaked.

Coming back to the blog, the issue was whether Mr Goodier's resignation was the noble act as  positioned by many (?including him).  Or whether a contrarian view that he left to focus on private health was potentially more accurate.

Six months on, what is the evidence?  And I must say that the evidence backs the contrarian thesis I put forward:

• Joining a private orthopaedic clinic.  Mr Goodier has joined this The London Orthopaedic Clinic.  What does that tell you?
• Writing articles for a private focused health portal.  He has written a number of articles for TotalHealth since February.
